Job Description

Are you an RVN with a passion for theatre work and surgical nursing? Would you like to join a well-established veterinary hospital where you can fully utilise your nursing skills while working alongside an experienced and supportive team? We are working with a respected multidisciplinary veterinary hospital near Swindon seeking a Surgery Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their close-knit and collaborative team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a progressive clinical environment with exposure to a varied and advanced caseload across multiple disciplines. Job Responsibility

  • Monitoring anaesthesia and sedation for surgical and imaging procedures
  • Assisting within theatre and scrubbing into surgical cases
  • Preparing and organising theatre and surgical equipment
  • Clipping and preparing patients for procedures
  • Supporting patient admissions and discharges
  • Maintaining surgical instruments and equipment
  • Delivering high standards of inpatient nursing care
  • Working closely with surgeons, nurses, and theatre technicians across a varied caseload

Requirements

  • Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
  • Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience
  • Previous surgical nursing experience desirable
  • Passionate about delivering high standards of patient care
  • Enjoys working within a busy and team-focused environment
