Join an inpatient cardiothoracic surgical team at a reputable medical facility as a Locum Tenens Physician Assistant. This role focuses on both inpatient and outpatient care, providing crucial support to a short-staffed surgical team. The schedule offers a unique two-week on/off rotation with night and weekend on-call responsibilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in cardiothoracic surgeries and care for surgical patients
  • Conduct patient rounds, with an average of 5-10 patients per round
  • Collaborate with a surgical team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate medical records using the EPIC EMR system

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Active Virginia license
  • Active DEA certification
  • Relevant training and experience in cardiothoracic surgery
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
  • Strong surgical and clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to patient care and safety
