Job Responsibility

Acts as the first assist in the OR
Independent rounding on patients in the acute post operative phase
Post-operative wound care and pain management
Timely collaboration with consulting physicians
Coordinating discharge from the hospital
Evaluating new consults
Support as surgical first assist, laparoscopic and robotic surgical support when indicated
Evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians
Completes outpatient documentation in a timely fashion
Performs clinic procedures as applicable

Delivers long-term survivorship care to gynecologic oncology patients who have completed active treatment
Evaluates existing gynecologic oncology patients in collaboration with gynecologic surgical and medical oncology physicians
Participates in shared decision-making with patients and caregivers
Focuses on screening and prevention through personalized and comprehensive risk assessments
Designs individualized imaging and surveillance plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Incorporates evidence-based risk reduction strategies and health promotion into care planning
Works closely with gynecologic oncology surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nursing, social work, psychology, physical therapy, and other allied health professionals
