Job Description:

A one-year surgical internship programme at a world-renowned independent ortho-neuro specialist referral centre. The programme aims to equip interns for surgical residency positions through high caseload, mentorship from world-class surgeons, and a strong academic track record.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work under the supervision of specialists in orthopaedic surgery and anaesthesia
  • Play an integral role in the day-to-day running of the clinic
  • Assist in surgery
  • Help work up patients on behalf of the specialist team
  • Provide world-class inpatient care
  • Opportunity for active involvement in innovative and advanced orthopaedic and neurosurgical procedures
  • Participate in weekly seminars and journal clubs
  • Prepare and publish scientific research

Requirements:

  • Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
  • Existing right to work in the UK or eligibility to obtain it without a Skilled Worker Visa
  • Dedicated to practising the highest standards of veterinary medicine and patient care
  • Committed to furthering career through improving knowledge base and technical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
