The Surgical Access Coordinator at Baptist Health is responsible for managing the scheduling and coordination of patient surgeries in a high-volume physician practice. Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Cerner and Soarian, is essential. The estimated pay range for this position is $18.87 - $22.83 per hour, depending on experience. Job Responsibility
Scheduling and coordinating all aspects of patient surgeries for high volume physician practice
Creating and submitting surgical encounters in Soarian for billing
Obtaining and verifying all patient demographics and insurance information
Obtaining authorization for surgery and working directly with surgeons to ensure procedure and diagnosis codes are accurate for billing
Working closely with supporting departments to ensure surgeries are scheduled and coded properly
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of Healthcare experience required
Surgery experience preferred
Must be a professional, detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication skills and excellent customer service skills
Must be highly organized and have ability to multi-task
Must be able to effectively communicate with surgeons, patients, operational and clinical leadership, as well as facility and BHSF support departments
Proficient in EMR, computer applications and scheduling systems (Cerner, Soarian, etc.)
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
