Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a 26 week locum Surgery Vascular Physician job in Oakland, California, paying $2,700/day - $3,000/day. Apply today.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform a range of surgeries including appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, emergency surgeries, and upper and lower endoscopies, among others
  • Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Be on-call for emergency surgeries, such as trauma cases or unexpected complications
  • Provide consultations to patients and other medical professionals regarding surgical options and care plans
  • Provide patient education about post-operative care and follow-up requirements
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Residency training program in surgery accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Board certification in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS)
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in California
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • At least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting
