Job Responsibility:
Serving as the primary point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations, and facilitating check-in and check-out processes
Warmly greeting and welcoming patients, providing initial assistance with appointments, payments, and scheduling inquiries
Efficiently managing a multi-line phone system, screening and routing calls, and taking accurate messages for clinical staff and providers
Ensuring all necessary patient verifications and authorizations are complete prior to appointments
Collaborating with healthcare providers to align on scheduling preferences and effectively respond to urgent patient needs
Offering comprehensive patient support by utilizing reference documents and tools to address non-clinical inquiries and messages, escalating as necessary
Performing diverse administrative tasks, including maintaining information and paging directory databases, and processing internal forms
Mastering the use of telephone systems and electronic medical records systems to execute daily job functions
Consistently meeting and exceeding organizational and departmental service standards
Managing and distributing incoming faxes, mail, and meticulously filing clinic-specific documentation
Requirements:
Be authorized to work in the United States
Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
Be able to work on a W-2 basis
Be able to work the schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
High School Diploma or GED
Previous experience in scheduling surgeries in a clinical environment
Proficiency in medical terminology
Strong knowledge of computer systems and software relevant to administrative functions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, appropriate for a professional healthcare setting
Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service, effectively solve problems, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Familiarity with Windows-based office software, computers, and operating systems
Adeptness at adjusting communication styles to suit the needs and understanding level of diverse individuals
The ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful situations
