Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and manage surgery schedules, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Verify patient information and insurance coverage prior to scheduling procedures
Utilize Epic EMR to maintain accurate records and streamline scheduling processes
Communicate effectively with patients, surgeons, and healthcare staff to confirm schedules and resolve any conflicts
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures during the scheduling process
Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize scheduling and resource allocation
Provide patients with pre-operative instructions and ensure they are well-informed about their procedures
Handle last-minute changes or emergencies with professionalism and efficiency
Work closely with insurance providers to confirm coverage for surgical procedures
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive patient information
Requirements:
Proven experience in patient scheduling within a healthcare environment
Ability to verify medical insurance coverage and navigate insurance processes
Proficiency in using Epic EMR for scheduling and record management
Familiarity with surgical procedures and terminology
Strong communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare staff, and insurance providers
