Job Responsibility:
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, warmly greeting and assisting them with inquiries regarding appointments, payments, and schedules
Manage a multi-line phone system, expertly screening and routing calls, and accurately taking messages for clinical staff and providers
Ensure all necessary patient verifications and authorizations are complete prior to their appointments, facilitating a smooth intake process
Act as a vital liaison between patients and providers, communicating scheduling preferences and responding promptly to urgent patient needs
Provide essential support to providers and patients by utilizing reference documents and tools to address inquiries and streamline processes
Execute various administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate information and paging directory databases, and processing internal forms efficiently
Master the functionality of the telephone system and electronic medical records systems to perform all assigned job tasks with precision
Consistently meet and exceed organizational and departmental service standards, contributing to a high-quality patient experience
Respond to non-clinical patient inquiries and messages, escalating complex issues to appropriate personnel when necessary
Efficiently manage and distribute faxes, mail, and maintain organized filing of clinic-specific documentation
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Proficiency in medical terminology
Previous surgery scheduling experience is required
Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems and software relevant to administrative functions
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, appropriate for a professional healthcare setting
Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service, solve problems effectively, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Windows-based office software, computers, and operating systems
