Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, warmly greeting and assisting them with inquiries regarding appointments, payments, and schedules
  • Manage a multi-line phone system, expertly screening and routing calls, and accurately taking messages for clinical staff and providers
  • Ensure all necessary patient verifications and authorizations are complete prior to their appointments, facilitating a smooth intake process
  • Act as a vital liaison between patients and providers, communicating scheduling preferences and responding promptly to urgent patient needs
  • Provide essential support to providers and patients by utilizing reference documents and tools to address inquiries and streamline processes
  • Execute various administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate information and paging directory databases, and processing internal forms efficiently
  • Master the functionality of the telephone system and electronic medical records systems to perform all assigned job tasks with precision

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in medical terminology
  • Previous surgery scheduling experience is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems and software relevant to administrative functions
