Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a 13 week locum Surgery Orthopedic Physician job in Cottonwood, Arizona, paying $3,000/day - $3,250/day. This is a generalized description of locum orthopedic surgeon job requirements. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide expert care for patients with injuries and disorders affecting bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves
  • Conduct a wide range of orthopedic surgeries, including fracture repair, joint replacement, arthroscopy and soft tissue repair
  • Provide emergency care for traumatic injuries requiring immediate surgical intervention
  • Manage conditions through non-invasive techniques, such as medication or physical therapy, when appropriate
  • Provide patient education about conditions, treatment options and post-care management strategies
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Residency training program in orthopedic surgery accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Board certification in orthopedic surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS)
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Arizona
  • At least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting
  • Proficient in performing a variety of both minimally invasive and complex orthopedic procedures
  • Ability to assess and diagnose musculoskeletal issues accurately and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Capability to make quick, informed decisions during surgery and in emergency situations
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex medical information to patients
  • Excellent manual dexterity and precision
  • Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams
