Job Responsibility
Manage and grow a portfolio in contract and commercial surety, ensuring strong performance and profitability
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers, providing responsive service to support client satisfaction and long-term retention
Review contracts, bond tenders, and insurance documentation to confirm accuracy and regulatory compliance prior to issuance
Monitor bond renewals, expirations, and outstanding requirements to maintain continuous coverage and minimize risk exposure
Support business development initiatives to expand the surety portfolio
Manage high-volume workloads while maintaining strong attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards
Apply specialized surety knowledge while continuing to build broader insurance expertise to support increasingly complex client needs
Requirements
Valid Alberta insurance license is required
Proven experience in surety and commercial insurance, preferably managing large portfolios
Strong understanding of surety and contract bonds
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to analyze complex financial and contractual data
