Our client, a nationally established insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Surety Account Manager to take charge of a substantial book and forge strong client relationships.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and grow a portfolio in contract and commercial surety, ensuring strong performance and profitability
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers, providing responsive service to support client satisfaction and long-term retention
  • Review contracts, bond tenders, and insurance documentation to confirm accuracy and regulatory compliance prior to issuance
  • Monitor bond renewals, expirations, and outstanding requirements to maintain continuous coverage and minimize risk exposure
  • Support business development initiatives to expand the surety portfolio
  • Manage high-volume workloads while maintaining strong attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards
  • Apply specialized surety knowledge while continuing to build broader insurance expertise to support increasingly complex client needs

Requirements

  • Valid Alberta insurance license is required
  • Proven experience in surety and commercial insurance, preferably managing large portfolios
  • Strong understanding of surety and contract bonds
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze complex financial and contractual data
