The Supv, Shift Production will manage operators, ensuring efficient operation, safety, and regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for troubleshooting processes and equipment, enforce company policies, and handling emergencies. The Shift Supervisor promotes safety and fosters high employee morale and performance. Reporting to the Production Superintendent this role is required to work rotating shifts onsite with your team. This position has responsibility for administrative and operative support to Operators and maintains safe and environmentally secure conditions, while maximizing the operating efficiency and profitability of the operating plant.

Ensures production rates, cost goals, and efficiency goals are met
Coordinates plant operations with maintenance to ensure work is properly executed on time and in a safe manner
Ensures operators are properly trained and are on the right track per the progression program and the recertification program
Control absenteeism
Fosters employee development and succession planning
encourages employee development, create a well-defined succession plan, fostering high employee morale and performance, and actively participating in the Site-wide Employee Development Program
Establishes and implements processes and procedures to meet departmental internal controls requirements. Ensures established processes/procedures are followed as designed. Works to identify deficiencies in existing processes/procedures, make corrections or replaces with new ones and the extent to which such processes/procedures are being followed. Develops and implements corrective actions regarding department internal controls as necessary
Requirements:
Five years of site operations experience and attainment of Relief Supervisor progression level
Proficient in basic computer skills (writing work requests, MOC’s, EWR’s, hazard ID’s, near-miss reports, spill reports and approving work hours in Workday)
Effective organizational and time management skills with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
Strong communication skills to effectively communicate through written documentation and verbal interactions with direct reports and other colleagues, and the ability to lead by example through sharing valuable experience for developmental purposes
Must test negative (for cause and/or random testing) on all drug and alcohol screens
Maintain and possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
