Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a group of direct labors (Assemblers/Test Technicians) that run shifts in production area(s) to meet Safety & Quality requirements, production goals, and cost objectives within a cross-matrixed and global organization
Enforce Safety & Quality regulations and protocols, conduct Safety & Quality audits, lead Safety & Quality related investigations
Manage and allocate resources accordingly, manage & evaluate team performance, provide coaching and mentorship, fostering team-oriented environment
Identify areas for improvement in production processes & implement strategies to enhance efficiency
Prepare shiftly reports, chair production related meeting/huddle and communicate production status to upper management
Partner with stakeholders to resolve production related challenges for example Safety/Quality issues, downtime, material shortages
Proficiency in 8D and why-why write up, SAP usage
Frequently interacts with subordinates, internal stakeholders and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas
Provides clear expectations and regular feedback specific to performance management to develop employees
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or related fields
Minimum of 6 years’ experience as Manufacturing Supervisor in semiconductor industry
Must be capable of working within a controlled clean room environment and adhering to all specified gown and personal protective equipment requirements
Knowledge of industrial / manufacturing processes, human factor, organizational behavior
Intermediate understanding of lean manufacturing and Kanban systems
Effective problem solving and learning mindset, strong decision maker
Strong verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to run shifts work patterns
Nice to have:
Demonstrated leadership in shifts management
Ability to set and manage accountabilities and expectations & able to act quickly to resolve conflicts
Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred with demonstrated competence in structured problem solving
Strong technical & operational knowledge and ability to speak with data
Strong relationship skills. The ideal candidate is approachable and adaptable and shows a keen ability to connect with all levels of the organization and with global colleagues
