Job Responsibility

Provide individualized care in a nurturing, safe and stable home environment

Support the person served to live fulfilling and rewarding lives as valued members of the community

Requirements

Recognize the value of people who live with intellectual disabilities and are prepared to offer them care, support, guidance and patience, in a shared home environment
Are emotionally, physically and financially stable
Are supportive, compassionate and able to commit the time and energy needed to meet the needs of the person served
Acknowledge, advocate, and protect the rights of the person served
Own or rent a home (house or apartment) that meets the needs of the person served and complies with provincial licensing standards
Must be licensed through Residential Care Licensing
Complete an in-depth application process including Home Share application, reference checks, Child Abuse Registry, Adult Abuse Registry, and Criminal Record check with Vulnerable Sector Search, Home Study Report, Emergency First Aid, in-home interviews, home visits and a home inspection

Support employee relations initiatives, investigations, and HR projects as needed
Partner with leadership to support staffing needs and seasonal operational demands
Coordinate all housing assignments, including room placements, move-ins, transfers, and move-outs
Facilitate employee housing check-ins and check-outs, including condition inspections and documentation
Maintain housing records, occupancy tracking, and housing plans to ensure accurate availability
Conduct routine housing inspections and ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with housing standards
