Job Responsibility:

  • Help individuals with varying levels of personal care
  • Help with eating and drinking, shopping, household tasks
  • Support fun and fulfilling activities (music, cinema, theatre trips, days out, holidays)

Requirements:

  • Background in care or working with people with specific additional requirements (ideal, not mandatory)
  • Positive, can-do, and professional attitude
  • Reliable and flexible and able to do sleep overs
  • Valid UK Driving Licence

  • Emotional Support: Offer guidance and emotional support to help young people manage their emotions, behaviour, and mental health
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely records of daily logs, incidents, monthly reports, keywork sessions, risk assessments, and support plans
  • Multi-Agency Working: Liaise with social workers, education providers, mental health services, and other professionals to ensure cohesive and effective support
  • Promote Meaningful Routines: Assist young people in planning and engaging in healthy daily routines that support wellbeing and structure
  • Crisis Management: Respond effectively and calmly to challenging behaviour and crisis situations, using approved de-escalation techniques where appropriate
