Job Description

SUPPORTED LIVING MANAGER - ADULTS LEARNING DISABILITIES. Working for an established provider of care and support to vulnerable people with learning disability, complex needs and mental health needs we are seeking a skilled Supported Living Manager to oversee supported living services in Workington area, Cumbria.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of supported living services for adults with learning disability
  • Manage and support a team of care staff, providing supervision, training, and performance management to ensure high-quality care delivery
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans tailored to each service user's needs and preferences
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and external agencies
  • Promote a person-centred approach, empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals and independence

Requirements

  • Previous experience in supported living, adult social care, or a similar setting, with a strong understanding of care standards and regulations
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with service users, families, and professionals
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification is desirable
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Car driver with access to your own vehicle
  • Flexibility to be part of the Oncall rota ( currently 1 in 4 weeks) and to be flexible to pick up shifts where the service requires it

  • Maintain accurate records in line with legal and organisational requirements
