Job Description

SUPPORTED LIVING MANAGER - BLACKBURN Are you seeking a new opportunity where you can make a difference to the lives of vulnerable adults with learning disability, complex needs and autism? Do you have experience of leading a team and have the experience of doing with a positive approach? If so we would like to hear from you. Working for an established and reputable organisation who provide support to vulnerable people with learning disability, complex needs, mental health, autism within services across the country, we seek a skilled Senior Support Worker for one of their services in East Lancashire.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee daily operations for a small supported living service for adults who are non verbal with complex health needs, learning disability, ensuring high standards of care and support
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of support staff through supervision and ongoing training
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation, policies, and standards, including CQC regulations and health & safety
  • Build strong relationships with service users, their families, and external agencies to promote person-centred care
  • Work with personalised support plans aligned with individual needs and goals, and deal with risk assessments
  • Monitor service quality through audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records in line with legal and organisational requirements

Requirements

  • Experience of leading and developing teams within a similar setting
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and health & safety
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • A compassionate, person-centred approach to support with the ability to be flexible and work on rotas with shifts including earlies, lates and sleep ins where required
  • Car driver
