Job Description

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Supported Housing Workers to join our Aspirations Supported Housing Service. This is a rewarding opportunity to support care-experienced young people aged 16–25 as they transition to independent living. The Aspirations Supported Housing Service provides high-quality supported accommodation for young people transitioning from care. Delivered across shared houses, the service helps young people build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to live independently and thrive.

Job Responsibility

  • Support young people living in shared accommodation to develop independent living skills
  • Provide practical and emotional support to help sustain tenancies
  • Assist individuals in accessing employment, education, or training opportunities
  • Support young people with benefit claims and day‑to‑day life management
  • Deliver one‑to‑one key work sessions and facilitate group activities
  • Contribute to assessments, support plans, and referrals to other services
  • Work closely with Personal Advisors and partner agencies
  • Ensure that housing properties are well maintained, with any issues reported promptly

Requirements

  • Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
  • Experienced in supported housing or working with young people with complex needs
  • Skilled in building positive, professional relationships
  • A confident communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Able to assess risk and manage support needs effectively
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Organised, resilient, and able to manage a busy workload
  • IT literate with good written and numerical skills
  • Willing to work in young people's homes and provide practical support when needed
  • Able to travel between properties (full driving licence preferred)
