Job Description:

Randstad are recruiting for a number of social care staff / support workers for ongoing work for a min of 6 - 9 months with scope for extension. We are looking for Band 3, Band 4 and Band 5 staff and have shifts available for days, nights, evenings and weekends, on a rota basis, both part-time and full time hours can accommodated

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide daily assistance to the management team within a Day Centre environment
  • Interact and develop caring & professional relationships with all Service Users
  • Engagement with users which may be non verbal
  • Full involvement in the planning & execution of Therapeutic activities
  • Mobility assistance
  • Assisting with meals, feeding and hydration
  • Toileting & Personal Care if required
  • Basic administration and reporting

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care would be desirable but not essential
  • 6 - 12 months experience within a social care based role
  • NISCC Registration is mandatory
  • Caring and compassionate approach
  • Ability to build rapport with service users
  • Previous experience within a day centre or Residential setting would be highly advantageous
  • Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role)
