Job Description:

Support workers play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and young individuals by providing tailored, person-centred support through daily living assistance, emotional guidance, and community engagement to create a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver high-quality, individualised support to people with disabilities and young people
Assist with personal care, mobility, and skill development
Build meaningful connections and provide mentorship and emotional support
Support community participation and recreational activities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement support plans
Advocate for customer rights and promote independence
Create safe, trauma-informed environments for young people with complex needs

Requirements:

Experience in disability, aged care, or family/community services
A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Certificate IV in Disability or Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to obtain)
Availability for 24/7 rostered shifts
