Due to a significant increase in the volume of Service Users, Randstad are keen to recruit experienced Support Workers for immediately available contracts. The successful candidates will provide assistance to users within the services of learning disability in a supported living environment.
Job Responsibility:
Provide daily assistance to the management team within a Day Centre environment
Interact and develop caring & professional relationships with all Service Users
Engagement with users which may be non verbal
Full involvement in the planning & execution of therapeutic activities
Mobility assistance
Assisting with meals, feeding and hydration
Toileting & personal care if required
Basic administration and reporting
Requirements:
NISCC registration essential
GCSE English and Maths (C or above or equivalent)
NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care desirable
Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role)
Minimum 6-12 months previous Support Work experience essential
Safeguarding and MAPA/CPI Level 2 required
Immunisation records fully up to date
Previous experience within a supported living or residential healthcare setting highly desirable
Ability to build rapport
Strong interaction and engagement skills
Caring and compassionate approach
Ability to work in fast paced user centric environment
Nice to have:
NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care desirable
