As a Sessional Support Worker in RCT, you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support. We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Support Worker, you can play a vital role in this.
Job Responsibility
Support individuals within their own homes and in the community
Work across local supported living services to provide cover during periods of staff absence
Take a flexible, adaptable and person-centred approach to helping individuals make their own choices and achieve their goals
Empower people to build confidence, develop new skills, and maintain independence through everyday support and structured activities
Help with finances, maintaining home, accessing community, staying connected with friends and family
Enhance wellbeing and create meaningful moments
Requirements
Patience and empathy
Capability to support a person with intimate personal care with respect and dignity
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to speak on behalf of others and to a range of professional people
Good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
Full driving licence - essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities
