Job Description:

Jane loves a bit of banter and is looking for a support worker with a good sense of humour. She is very trendy and enjoys shopping, bingo, arts and crafts, music and dancing as well as spending time with her family. Jane is looking to recruit a support worker to join her dedicated team. Someone who can support her to achieve her hopes and dreams for her future; which includes travelling and to be in a loving relationship.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support Jane to achieve her hopes and dreams for her future
  • Support her with her epilepsy
  • Help her become more independent
  • Encourage her to participate in activities that will help her to develop
  • Help her learn skills so that she can babysit her nieces and nephew
  • Help her build up positive relationships with her family
  • Help her explore the possibility of building up relationships in the local community and make friends
  • Support her to manage her budget
  • Work on your own initiative as well as working together as a team
  • Look for new opportunities and take the chance to participate in these

Requirements:

  • This position has a 'genuine occupational requirement' covered under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and therefore only applications from females are requested
  • Be willing to support a person with epilepsy
  • Have a confident demeanour and be resilient
