Job Description:

Support Worker role at Byron Lodge, a 14-bed residential service in Manchester dedicated to supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Focus is on creating a positive and empowering environment that facilitates skill relearning while fostering full integration into the community. Full training and ongoing support provided.

Job Responsibility:

Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support
Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life
Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying to appointments or administrating medication
Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping
Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking
Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
Encourage and motivate individuals to participate in community and everyday activities
Promote independence while offering reassurance and support
Work as part of a dedicated and compassionate team

Requirements:

Must be over the age of 18
Experience in care and support work is beneficial
Willingness to undergo training
Ability to work as part of a team
Compassionate and supportive nature

Nice to have:

QCF qualifications
Military experience (for guaranteed interview scheme)
