About the Role: We support a diverse range of individuals in the community and in their own homes – each with their own unique needs and goals. You will generally spend your shift in one place and help people live more independently by supporting with daily living tasks, social activities, building life skills and confidence, promoting choice, dignity, and independence, and risk-assessing situations and supporting positive behaviour. This is a person-centred role, where you'll be empowered to tailor your support to each individual's needs, routines and aspirations. Who We Support: People with a variety of needs including Autism & learning disabilities, Mental health disorders & personality disorders, Behaviours that challenge, and Forensic backgrounds. You'll need to follow clear, structured support plans and work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
Job Responsibility
Support individuals in the community and in their own homes
Help people live more independently by supporting with daily living tasks (meal prep, personal care, budgeting)
social activities (swimming, gym, rugby games, concerts)
building life skills and confidence
promoting choice, dignity, and independence
risk-assessing situations and supporting positive behaviour
Requirements
Understanding of mental health conditions and behaviours of concern
Experience supporting individuals with complex or forensic needs
Confidence working with safeguarding, grooming behaviours, or MAPPA cases
