Job Description:

Are you looking for a fulfilling role where you can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people? We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers for a specialist children's home and school near Royston. This service provides education, care, and therapeutic support for young people aged 9-19 with severe and profound communication difficulties related to conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injuries, and degenerative disorders.

Job Responsibility:

Delivering high standards of care during daily activities such as personal care, socialising, learning, and therapeutic sessions like hydrotherapy and rebound therapy
Building meaningful relationships to empower children and young adults to thrive and develop
Maintaining a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment
Supporting the development of learning and social skills whenever possible

Requirements:

No prior experience is required
willingness to learn and go the extra mile
patience and excellent communication skills
resilient and positive attitude
creativity in meeting the needs of children and young adults
flexibility to work on a rota, including every other weekend
