Job Description:

Are you looking for a fulfilling role where you can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people? We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers for a specialist children's home and school near Royston. This service provides education, care, and therapeutic support for young people aged 9-19 with severe and profound communication difficulties related to conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injuries, and degenerative disorders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering high standards of care during daily activities such as personal care, socialising, learning, and therapeutic sessions like hydrotherapy and rebound therapy
  • Building meaningful relationships to empower children and young adults to thrive and develop
  • Maintaining a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment
  • Supporting the development of learning and social skills whenever possible

Requirements:

  • No prior experience is required
  • willingness to learn and go the extra mile
  • patience and excellent communication skills
  • resilient and positive attitude
  • creativity in meeting the needs of children and young adults
  • flexibility to work on a rota, including every other weekend
