Job Description:

As a Support Worker with Meallmore you'll use your intuition and empathy to help our residents get the most out of life. You'll work as part of a team to support residents with complex needs, making a big difference to their lives and ensuring they are always treated with dignity and respect.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver personalised care, guidance, and advocacy to help residents reach their full potential
  • Prompt and assist with personal care
  • Support managing finances, shopping, preparing and cooking meals, domestic duties
  • Schedule and attend appointments
  • Provide general social and emotional support
  • Support residents to live independently
  • Keep residents safe
  • Help them make choices
  • Ensure they lead full and rich lives in the care home and beyond

Requirements:

  • A strong passion for helping individuals live their best lives
  • Patience and a sense of humour and a desire to help others
  • A caring empathetic nature
  • Reliability and trustworthiness
  • SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines) is desirable
