We are recruiting for a permanent Support Worker at Highwater House, a residential care home providing care for 22 adults with mental health and substance misuse issues. 32 HOURS PER WEEK (Permanent) (Shift work including evenings and weekends, and sleep ins). Sleep in rate £43.12. We are looking for team members who bring passion, drive and tenacity every day to make a difference; building on an inclusive and diverse team that is representative of the people and communities we serve. We are accredited as a Real Living Wage employer.

Job Responsibility:

Duties will include, medication administrating, care planning, escorting residents to appointments, planning and implementing activities, providing personnel care, attending meetings with other professionals

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be supportive and empathise with clients who may have a variety of complex needs
  • Have the ability to manage time effectively and possess good organisational skills and be capable of working within a team
  • Applicants must be able to practically demonstrate that you are: Caring, Kind, Empathic and Patient
  • Have knowledge of the basic principles of Care
  • Emotionally resilient and tenacious to push ahead to find the appropriate solutions, even when faced with resistance
  • Passionate about supporting people who have poor mental health, addictions or who are ex-offenders
  • Flexible and willing to work unsociable hours, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays
