Job Description:

Support Worker (Days & Nights) at Rowan Unit, Tag Lane, Preston. 33 or 44 hour contract - 12 hour shifts 8-8 on a rota basis with every other weekend availability required. At the heart of our service is a belief in strength in unity—working together to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every individual is respected, empowered, and supported to live meaningfully. Rowan Unit is a 19 bed facility supporting adults with complex needs including Dementia plus, Parkinson’s Disease, Schizophrenia, Brain injury, enduring mental health conditions and behavioural support requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care
  • Motivate and support individuals to engage in meaningful activities
  • Promote dignity, choice, and independence
  • Implement care plans and behaviour support strategies
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Uphold accountability through accurate documentation and reflective practice
  • Night roles also include light cleaning duties to support the home

Requirements:

  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and PBS (training provided)

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
