Job Description

Dovehaven Care Homes are Recruiting for a Support Worker to join our team at Cedar Garden, Tag Lane, Preston. Cedar Garden is a 30 bed dementia specialist, male only facility. Our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible, our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment. As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital part in helping individuals achieve their goals and maintain independence. You’ll support with personal care, daily living activities, and engagement in therapeutic routines, using trauma-informed approaches and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Requirements

  • A caring, respectful approach to diverse needs and backgrounds

  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and PBS (training provided)
  • Commitment to excellence and continuous learning
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
