Support Worker

• support three adults, two of which are wheelchair users
• promote happiness and wellbeing by supporting the individuals to do things they enjoy
• support individuals going out and being present in their community
• be required to use a hoist and special equipment
• may experience behaviours that challenge
• empower people to follow through on choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills
• offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family

• have patience and empathy
• can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity
• have strong communication and teamwork skills
• are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
• have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
• have a full UK driving licence - essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities

it is desirable that you are fluent in Welsh so you can effectively communicate with Welsh-speaking service users and meet their cultural and linguistic needs
