Webster Court provides supported living exclusively for over-50's with enduring mental health challenges and multiple needs. Many residents have experienced homelessness, vulnerable housing, or struggle to live independently. The role involves shift work plus sleep-ins (£43.12) on rota basis. St Martins uses Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) framework and is a Real Living Wage employer.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting residents with medication
Taking part in group social activities
Meeting with health or social care professionals
Supporting residents to remain independent with daily living tasks
Practical tasks like preparing meals with residents
Encouraging residents to keep flats tidy
Making own decisions in supporting residents
Ensuring resident safety
Supporting residents to maintain mental and physical wellbeing
Working as team to deliver person-centred, high-quality service
Requirements:
Awareness of Trauma Informed Care and ability to work with a Psychologically Informed approach
Emotional resilience with ability to remain calm in challenging situations
Experience supporting people with poor mental health, dual diagnosis or unconventional lives
Experience providing high standard of care and support following digital support plans in domiciliary, supported living or residential care environment
Observing and respecting resident’s dignity, privacy and independence in a regulated Care Quality Commission service
Ability and willingness to be flexible and work unsociable hours, including evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays and sleeping nights on rota basis
