Job Description:

We are looking for caring, motivated Support Workers to join our established team supporting people with learning disabilities. This is a rewarding role where you will support people to live full, meaningful lives, develop independence, and achieve personal goals. Every day is different, and you will play a key role in helping the people we support feel safe, valued, and empowered. You will be part of a highly supportive team with approachable, experienced managers who are committed to your wellbeing, development, and career progression.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide high-quality person-centred care and support to adults with learning disabilities and autism
  • Support with personal care, daily living tasks, and community activities
  • Assist in promoting independence and helping service users engage in meaningful activities
  • Manage challenging behaviour using techniques aligned with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Encourage and help individuals with daily routines, social interaction, and community engagement
  • Work as part of a team, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment

Requirements:

  • Must have experience with challenging behaviour, working in a 2 – 1 basis
  • Experience with adults with learning disabilities, autism
  • UK driving licence, vehicle not required
  • Must be female due to the personal care needs of the service user, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010
  • Must have at least 1 year left on visa
  • Applicants must not require visa sponsorship

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is beneficial
  • A positive attitude with a desire to make a real difference
  • Ability to work proactively, think creatively, and engage service users in new experiences
