Burrow Down Support Services is dedicated to providing exceptional support for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs in Paignton and surrounding areas. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment where imagination, understanding, and adaptability are at the forefront of our approach. About the service: Lucentio House is a supported living service for Adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at Burrow Down Support Services. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life through personalized care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions
  • Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and care plans
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to care

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be flexible to work between the hours of 8am and 10pm on a rota basis
  • Not open to Sponsorship
  • Cannot accept those with visa restrictions
