Job Description:

As a Support Worker in Builth Wells, you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support. We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Support Worker, you can play a vital role in this.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting people across four supported living services
  • Helping individuals shape their daily lives
  • Supporting individuals to do things they love (meals, arts, sports, etc.)
  • Providing practical, respectful, tailored support including personal care and manual handling
  • Helping with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and paying bills
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Transporting individuals using own car

Requirements:

  • Patience and empathy
  • Ability to support with intimate personal care with respect and dignity
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to speak on behalf of others and to a range of professional people
  • Good written skills and ability to record events with empathy and meaning
  • Full driving licence
  • Access to own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support, with business insurance
