Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and confident Support Worker to join a dedicated, consistent team providing high-quality, person-centred care for a 40-year-old gentleman. This is a 2:1 support service tailored to an individual with autism and multiple learning disabilities. Working in a more complex care environment, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring his safety, well-being, and independence, helping him live a fulfilling life while navigating daily challenges.

Job Responsibility

  • Person-Centred Support: Work closely with a colleague as part of a 2:1 team to provide a safe, stable, and predictable environment
  • Complex Care: Safely manage complex behavioral and communication needs associated with autism and learning disabilities
  • Personal Care: Assist with all aspects of daily personal care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
  • Community and Activities: Accompany and support the individual with hobbies, outdoor activities, and community outings (where applicable)

Requirements

  • Experience: A strong, proven background in supporting individuals with autism and multiple learning disabilities
  • Confidence and Resilience: Comfort and capability working within complex, high-needs care environments
  • Team Players: A reliable individual who thrives in a close-knit, consistent team setting where communication is key
  • Mobility: A full UK driving licence is highly preferred to assist with transport and community access
