As a Support Worker in Builth Wells, you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support. We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community.
Job Responsibility:
supporting people across four supported living services in Builth Wells and Aberedw
helping individuals shape their daily lives
supporting individuals to do the things they love (e.g., meals out, arts sessions, time with friends, physical activities)
transporting individuals to appointments and activities
providing practical, respectful, and tailored support
assisting with personal care
manual handling
positive behaviour management
helping with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and paying bills
encouraging individuals to try new things, build confidence, and live independently
Requirements:
have patience and empathy
can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity
have strong communication and teamwork skills
are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
have a full driving licence -essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities
have access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle
