Job Description:

Part time Support Worker for the Supported Accommodation element of this service. The service provides support to those with multiple and complex needs who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness. The properties are places of safety, Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE), from which we work with individuals.

Job Responsibility:

Provide person-led, holistic, trauma-informed support to people on their journey out of homelessness
Provide accommodation and support that helps people find self-worth and the belief that they deserve a better future
Work to move individuals on safely and successfully, reducing homelessness and the on-going risk of homelessness

Requirements:

Understanding of the complexity of needs related to homelessness, especially mental ill-health, alcohol and substance misuse and offending
Excellent inter-personal skills
Ability to engage and motivate people
Ability to build cooperative working relationships
Ability to use initiative and work flexibly in a demanding environment
Ability to deliver holistic, person-centred, trauma-informed support
Ability to provide information, advice and guidance to empower people to access appropriate services
Ability to work calmly under pressure
Knowledge of safeguarding
Knowledge of health and safety
