Support Worker – Supported Living Service (Broxburn, West Lothian) Hours: 20 hours per week (over 3 days) Location: Broxburn Service: Supported Living Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour About the Service This is a supported living service based in Broxburn, providing care and support to two gentlemen who share a home. Both individuals have mild learning disabilities and enjoy a calm, structured environment with support to maintain their independence and daily routines. Due to the nature of the role and split shifts, we are ideally looking for someone local to the area. About the Role – A Day in the Life As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the individuals to live as independently as possible within their own home and community. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting with daily household tasks such as cleaning and laundry Assisting with meal preparation and promoting healthy routines Supporting with medication administration Accompanying individuals to health appointments Supporting with shopping and managing day-to-day tasks Providing personal care, including catheter care for one individual Offering 1:1 support tailored to individual needs Encouraging independence and choice in daily living This role is rewarding and varied, requiring reliability, flexibility, and a caring approach. About the People We Support You will be supporting two gentlemen with: Mild learning disabilities Independent living skills with some support needs Health needs, including catheter care (training provided) Shift Pattern This role involves split shifts across 3 days per week. Example shift patterns include: 8:00am – 9:15am 1:00pm – 2:00pm 4:00pm – 8:15pm OR 8:00am – 9:15am 1:00pm – 2:00pm 4:00pm – 7:45pm Weekend shifts are slightly longer. Flexibility is essential due to the nature of the rota. Training & Development You will receive full training, including: Induction programme Medication training Moving & Assistance Personal care (including catheter care) Online learning modules Shadow shifts with experienced staff
