Job Description

Real Life Options are recruiting Support Workers who are passionate about helping people live meaningful and independent lives in their own homes. You will be supporting individuals in their own homes, enabling them to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.

Job Responsibility

  • Following daily planners to ensure consistent support
  • Assisting with financial expenditure
  • Supporting with personal care
  • Domestic tasks and household support
  • Administration of medication
  • Supporting individuals to take part in activities within their local community, promoting confidence, independence and social inclusion

Requirements

  • Must be flexible and able to cover days, evenings, weekends, and waking nights
  • Drivers preferred but not essential

  • Emotional Support: Offer guidance and emotional support to help young people manage their emotions, behaviour, and mental health
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely records of daily logs, incidents, monthly reports, keywork sessions, risk assessments, and support plans
  • Multi-Agency Working: Liaise with social workers, education providers, mental health services, and other professionals to ensure cohesive and effective support
  • Promote Meaningful Routines: Assist young people in planning and engaging in healthy daily routines that support wellbeing and structure
