Job Description:

Ambience Care Limited is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our team in the Hereford area. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents during night hours while maintaining a calm and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents throughout the night
  • Provide reassurance and friendly conversation to residents who may wake during the night
  • Monitor the building and follow emergency procedures, including assisting with evacuation in the event of a fire
  • Carry out light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and tidy environment
  • Assist with simple food preparation tasks (e.g., preparing vegetables for the following day)
  • Report any concerns, incidents, or changes in residents’ condition to the senior or sleeping staff on duty
  • Maintain accurate communication and follow all service policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker (Mental Health experience preferred)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and attentive during night shifts
  • A caring, responsible, and professional attitude
  • Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Updated CV
  • Mandatory Updated Healthcare Training Certificates
  • Proof of Address
  • Proof of National Insurance (NI)
