Job Description:

We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to support young people aged 16-18 in a supported accommodation setting in Kettering. This role is ideal for confident, resilient individuals with experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, self-harm, and trauma. You must be comfortable working long shifts, sleep-ins, and lone working.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide emotional, behavioural, and practical support
  • Manage and respond to challenging behaviour appropriately
  • Support young people with a history of self-harm and trauma
  • Promote independence, structure, and daily routines
  • Work one-to-one and independently during lone shifts
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and care plans at all times

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year's experience supporting young people or young adults
  • Experience with challenging behaviour, self-harm, and trauma
  • Confident with lone working, long shifts, and sleep-ins
  • Strong communication skills and professional boundaries
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management

Nice to have:

  • Experience in residential or supported accommodation
  • Relevant Health & Social Care qualification
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care
