Job Responsibility
Offering dedicated 1:1 or small group guidance to learners with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) profiles
Helping the class teacher deliver interactive, sensory-based, and practical learning tasks aligned with individual education plans
Creating a reassuring, safe space by utilising positive behaviour support and calm de-escalation strategies
Supporting pupils in developing their personal independence, functional life skills, and everyday communication tools
Requirements
A patient, grounded, and emotionally resilient personality
Prior experience supporting vulnerable individuals or children with additional needs
Strong collaborative skills
A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one immediately)
