Job Description:

Trust Housing Association has an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker (Older People) to join our team in Dumfries, Dumfries & Galloway. Trust Housing Association is a not-for-profit registered social landlord, and one of Scotland's largest national housing, support and care providers for older people, offering a range of accommodation and support services. Primarily serving older people in our communities we also provide housing for families and individuals. We have over 4000 households across the length and breadth of Scotland, from the Highlands and Islands all the way down to the Borders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with tenants to ensure they receive support identified in their personal plan
  • Assist with meal delivery and provide support in the dining room
  • Occasional kitchen duties
  • Lone working from 5pm - 10pm when on shift
  • Assist with occasions of short staffing

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Previous experience of working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community
  • Must be able to work alone from 5pm - 10pm when on shift
  • Must already hold the legal right to work in the UK
  • UK residency required
What we offer:
  • 16.75 hours per week over a mixture of shifts on a 2-week rolling rota including alternate weekends
  • Competitive hourly rate of £14.04 per hour
