Active Pathways is delighted to be recruiting for a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker (Nights), at our mixed gender residential service, Brookhaven and our male only inpatient hospital, The Hamptons, in Bamber Bridge. Brookhaven provides a safe and supportive home for males and females with enduring mental health needs, whilst The Hamptons provides a specialist therapeutic, recovery-focused in-patient care environment for men with complex mental health needs. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to OUTSTANDING person-centred, therapeutic, recovery-focused care.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide person-centred care in a rehabilitation setting
  • Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals
  • Support residents with meaningful daily activities and community engagement
  • Assist with emotional, social, and practical needs
  • Work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent support
  • Promote independence, self-confidence, and relapse prevention strategies
  • Encourage and support access to education, employment, and leisure opportunities

Requirements

  • Experience working within a mental health or rehabilitation setting is essential
  • Confidence in building rapport with residents and the wider team
  • A strong understanding of person-centred, quality care
  • A positive, supportive approach with a focus on recovery and inclusion
  • Experience of working with a range of mental health diagnosis and challenging behaviour
  • Applicants must already have the Right to Work in the UK for a minimum of 18 months from their agreed start date
