Job Description:

Love cars and motorbikes? Join our team to support this gentleman live more independently. We have a great role supporting an older gentleman to live more independently. He has a great sense of humour and loves to have a joke, he's a bit of a wind up. His passion is cars and motorcycles, so if you had an interest in these things that would be great. He has a brain injury, and is paralysed from the chest down but doesn't need support with transfers, he does have learn difficulties and mental health struggles. Part of your role would be to support with his colostomy bag and full personal care, along with medication administration and maintaining a health lifestyle.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing high-quality care on a 2:1 basis
  • Engaging in meaningful activities
  • Taking the individual out in the community to promote social interaction and well-being
  • Supporting with household tasks
  • Providing clear and confident communication
  • Supporting with colostomy bag and full personal care
  • Administering medication
  • Maintaining a healthy lifestyle

Requirements:

  • Must be female (post exempt under Equality Act 2010)
  • Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence
  • Must be able to drive a MANUAL VEHICLE
  • Must be local to Alton and know the area
  • Previous experience with Brain Injury
  • Previous experience with Colostomy Care
  • Previous experience with Mental Health
