Job Description

This is more than a job; it’s a career that supports people to live life to the full. Autism Initiatives provide a personalised, autism specialist service that makes a positive different to the lives of autistic people. We are seeking friendly Support Workers to join our service in the Gateacre/Belle Vale area of Liverpool. This is a Supported Living service for 3 people supported in a 3 bedroom property. The people supported enjoy accessing their local community.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting people to be as independent as possible in their homes
  • supporting people to achieve and be successful
  • helping people to pursue their interests and enjoy their lives
  • enabling people to be active members of their communities
  • working alongside the manager, staff team and people supported
  • providing autism specialist support
  • ensuring all support needs are met in a personalised centred manner
  • working on a rota basis including evenings, weekends and sleep in duties

Requirements

  • Full driving licence preferred
  • NVQ or Diploma Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care desirable
  • genuine passion for providing person centred support is key

  • Medical & Personal Care: Assisting with full personal care (toileting/pad changes) and being trained to administer emergency rescue medication (Buccal Midazolam) if a seizure occurs
  • Driving: Actively driving or supporting her in the vehicle to ensure safe travel during outings
