Job Description:

As a Driver Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting adults with learning disabilities who attend our Day Centre.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safely collecting and returning individuals between home and the Day Centre
  • Supporting people to participate in a range of community and centre-based activities
  • Encouraging and enabling people to engage in meaningful experiences
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • Keeping accurate vehicle and service user records
  • Carrying out routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance
  • Working flexibly as part of a friendly, supportive team

Requirements:

  • Hold a current, valid UK manual driving licence
  • Have at least 5 years' driving experience
  • Be capable of carrying out basic vehicle checks and maintenance
  • Feel confident driving a 15-seater minibus
  • Be able to maintain accurate transport and user records
