Job Description

Become a Support Worker with Active Prospects! Location: Horsham, West Sussex. Salary: £13.60 per hour. Service Type: Adult Complex Care Service. Speciality: Mental Health, Autism, Learning Disability. Our service is for 4 people requiring a wide range of support from emotional support, learning new coping mechanisms, and being able to express their true selves. At present all the people we support have several hours of 1:1 support during the day as well as some shared support day and night. The ideal people will have a passion for working with people with enduring mental health, a keen interest in the psychology behind complex behaviours that challenge and the willingness to learn and practice Positive Behaviour Support. You will need to be adaptable, flexible, mature and be able to support our people to gain back their independence through empowerment, active support, positive risk-taking and out of the box thinking. It's important to note that some people being supported may self-harm, have anxiety or on occasion show behaviours of concern. The role can be tough, but the rewards outweigh. This service is close to public transport, with a short walk from the bus stop/train station to the service. We are also currently looking for drivers!
