Job Description:

Become a Support Worker with Active Prospects in their Adult Complex Care Service, specialising in Mental Health, Autism, and Learning Disability. The service supports 4 people requiring a wide range of support. The role can be tough, but the rewards outweigh. The service is close to public transport.

Job Responsibility:

Provide emotional support
Support learning new coping mechanisms
Support people to express their true selves
Provide 1:1 support during the day
Provide shared support day and night
Support people who may self-harm, have anxiety or on occasion show behaviours of concern

Requirements:

Passion for working with people with enduring mental health
Keen interest in the psychology behind complex behaviours that challenge
Willingness to learn and practice Positive Behaviour Support
Adaptable
Flexible
Mature
Able to support people to gain back their independence through empowerment, active support, positive risk-taking and out of the box thinking
